  • 16 KB-aligned native OCR libraries (Tesseract 4.9.0). QR decoding recovers difficult codes using dual binarization and controlled downscaling.
  • Includes recent capture, crop, enhancement, signatures, stamps, offline OCR and searchable PDF/Word export improvements.

Known issues

  • Android 8+. Imported PDFs are rasterized; flattening is approximate. Review OCR, especially Eastern Arabic digits. Drawn signatures are not certified digital signatures.
  • No stable release. Install over FieldScan Next to retain documents; the older 0.2.2 app is separate.
  • Development-key signed beta. 16 KB ELF and APK alignment verified; runtime tested on an API 37 emulator with 4 KB pages, not a physical 16 KB device. No iPhone/TestFlight release.

  • Imported stamps first; true crop colours and magnifier; Fold, Galaxy, Arabic, large-text, dark and landscape layout fixes.

  • Older development edition. OCR and PDF text preservation are absent. Manual capture may be needed at steep angles.

Beta 62: 232 unit tests, 41 Android instrumentation tests and the release screen tour passed. Native libraries and APK meet 16 KB alignment checks; physical 16 KB device acceptance remains pending.
